Union straw works burned in Foxboro Mass blaze
Fire destroyed the Union straw works in Foxboro Massachusetts causing an estimated loss of nearly 150000 dollars. The plant, started in 1556, was among the oldest straw plants in the country and employed about three hundred workers, throwing them out of work.
