Concord Col Raymond Emerson of Estabrook road, a world wars veteran, captured a live four week old mountain lion in Utah and keeps it on his estate. The tame cub was shown on the Mill Dam on Tuesday this week as he plans to raise it until it becomes tame.

No Word From Escaped Inmates At Reformatory
Massachusetts Reformatory reports two inmates Moynihan and Sylvia remain at large two weeks after escaping from a farm dormitory. Chief clerk Horace Fletcher notes the stretch is the longest in about ten years. They fled May 7 in Ralph Marble’s farm truck and were said to have stolen two cars in Fitchburg and New Bedford.

Concord plans patriotic celebration and field day
Plans are being shaped for Concord's annual patriotic celebration and field day to be staged July 3 4 and 5 by the Concord Council Knights of Columbus with George S Lawton as general chairman. Concord Veterans Council announced that the Memorial Day exercises will follow the usual format with a 2 pm parade on Friday May 30. The Memorial Sunday service will be held at the First Parish Unitarian Church at 11 am led by Rev Edward Perry Daniels, with veterans groups assembling at the State Armory at 10 45 am for the march to the church.
