Bedford notes list people moving jobs and visiting friends including Durkin in Pihebornes image, Reynolds at home, Nelson taking a L B St Ry conductor post, and Wallis spending summer in Manchester. Campers arrive, water wagon runs, and Bedford hosts 175th anniversary events with Minute Men squads invited.
The ladies of St Michael's church hosted a dance in the town hall on Friday evening May 15. Miss Kathryn Dowd chaired with Mary McMahon Katherine Cullinane and Mary Cullinane coordinating. Governor Walsh was invited but could not attend and Doherty's orchestra provided the music as Lexington and Concord residents enjoyed a pleasant gathering.
At a Monday Parish Committee meeting the church elected officers including Moderator George P. Davis Clerk David C. Torrey Treasurer J B Prescott and Collector M Bernard Doe for four years with Rev D C Torrey and G A joining the church committee.
