Town Stores End Late Hours Adopt Weekly Half Day Off
Business firms in the town agree to a weekly half day off to allow recreation for employees. Beginning May 14 1894 stores to close Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 0 o’clock and Wednesday at 1 o’clock. Haynes Brothers among signatories.
