Bedford Civic club tops Fourth National Bank in close Boston game

The Bedford Civic club defeated the Fourth National Bank team of Boston on Page field by 98 to end, aided by Temple’s strong hitting and a late two-run rally from E R Blake with two outs in the ninth. Thaxtex starred on the mound with a cool steady performance.

Minuteman Lodge Meeting Sees Visitation and Plans

At the last regular Minuteman lodge meeting on Thursday evening May 6 a large attendance included a Riverside lodge delegation from Waltham and delegates from Roxbury. Deputy Grand Worthy Councilor spoke on past achievements and future plans while John A. McDonald was introduced by the deputy. Proceedings featured remarks, music by Alice Murray, and a dance session with an entertainment committee. Many candidates are slated for initiation May 19.
