Venues included Wells Hall Rose Hawthorne Armory Alcott Peter Bulkeley First Parish Trinitarian and Veterans Building. The Massachusetts Music Educators Association was connected to the festival.

The Concord town board of assessors announces a new 1957 tax rate of 78.40, up 1.60 from last year. The total valuation stands at 21,174,750 with 19,320,760 from real estate and 1,854,050 from personal property. overlay is 70 and 57.80 compared with 29,000 last year, and New England Survey estimates town value at 57,890,920.
A senior informal dance event titled SOC HOP will be held Friday night from 8 to 11 o clock in Hunt Memorial Gym. The dance is a couples stag with music by Round Hounds and is open to all.

A World War II veteran, he is married to Margaret Geary of Dorchester and has ties to Lewis Junior High School Roxbury and Boston College.
Lincoln residents who are high school seniors or graduates planning further study may apply for the annual Lin' borp scholarship. Applications are accepted at Town House or Smith School and must be completed and returned by May 24.
Town Manager Je M. Nelson outlines the Mill Dam business district parking meter layout set to go into effect once parking areas are finished. He reports bridge guard rails being installed with work starting this week on bridges over the Assabet River near Route 62 in West Concord.

Nelson also signs Burroughs contract for an accounting machine at 6172.20 dollars net to handle payrolls taxes billing real estate and budgeting. Delivery in three months with a claimed payback in three years and a 10 to 12 year lifespan.
Safety Officer James F Han ley of Concord served as a judge in a state wide poster contest titled No Fear Here where a Waltham boy won the top prize.
