Maynard Local Notices Span Roads, Relocations, and Events

Maynard residents saw active local life with license renewals and home projects, a wheelmen trip to Lowell, church services and temperance concerts, a Maynard high school ball game against the Maynard Stars on May 9, and union evangelistic meetings through May. The community mourned the burial of Robert Shaw from Millbury and welcomed invitations to Sudbury’s monument dedication on June 17.

Temperance Concert at Methodist Church Next Sunday

A temperance program is set for May 10 at 7 PM in the Methodist church. The event features scouts and students performing songs, recitations, solos, and an acrostic and chorus under titles such as The Drankard's Warning and The Bloody Ballot.

Sudden Death of Mrs Agnes Livingstone in Boston

Mrs Agnes M Livingstone sister of Mr Lingley of Harriman court died suddenly of heart trouble at Boston Union Station on Saturday afternoon. She dropped into a seat and said she could not walk before dying about an hour later. Born in Port Williams Nova Scotia aged 29 she had lived in Boston 12 years. She was insured for 300 dollars with Metropolitan Life. Funeral Wednesday at 2 300 o clock with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.

A Family Drunk And Public Disturbance At Mill Bridge

A man and wife in a drunken scene caused a disturbance on the paper mill bridge on Monday afternoon. They fought cried and hugged amid painting graffiti before a crowd of over 100 school children, until a kind local lady sheltered them away from the scene.

Miss Abbie Henderson daughter of Mr and Mrs David Henderson wed Wilbur Eaton of Plymouth on May 4 at the bride’s parents home Glendale Street Rev Merrill Blanchard officiated at seven. After a social evening refreshments were served and at 8:30 the couple departed for South Acton to board a train to Boston.
