West Concord Coastguardsman John N Hansen dies at home on furlough
John N Hansen 46 of 214 Commonwealth Ave West Concord died suddenly at his home last Sunday afternoon while on a 10 day furlough. A prison officer at Massachusetts Reformatory for 15 years he served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and in the present war was a Boatswain's Mate First Class with the shore patrol at Boston. He leaves a wife Catherine and five children along with two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church with military rites and taps at Saint Bridget's cemetery in Maynard.
