Schools will dismiss at 11:15 or 11:45 a.m for parent conferences running April 2 to 6. Principals will share specific times with parents and adjust if needed. Bus transportation remains as usual.

Concord Maj Cox of the U S Air Force Hanscom Field Bedford with a Brookline travel rep attended Lions Club at Cole Inn Tuesday. Robert E Sheehan led the program and George W Wilkinson presided after dinner. Club plans a glaucoma clinic pancake breakfast and zone social this spring.
Senate candidate George Cabot Lodge spoke to students and faculty at Conoe High School on Tuesday, urging civic participation and outlining his policy priorities. Local teachers and students attended the event, with questions following his remarks.

David Newsom served as group managing assistant.
Joseph F. Macone of Carlisle Goa nominated as Macone suffered a head wound at work Tuesday afternoon and was taken to Emerson Hospital where stitches were required.
Ronald John Johnston, 34, of 62 Nashoba Road West Acton appeared in district court after a car crash that killed his wife Mary E. Johnston on March 11. He faced charges including involuntary manslaughter and operating under the influence. The judge found him not guilty on one count and guilty on another, issuing a $50 fine. Johnston also was seriously injured in the accident. The couple left behind three daughters.
The bride and groom wed in Lincoln with the bride's brother John Norton of New York giving her away. After a wedding trip to New York the couple now reside in Waltham where the groom is stationed at Hanscom Field.
