Death of West Concord Resident Lane in Brockton
West Concord resident Lane a longtime shoe tradesman and church member died of a heart attack in Brockton after visiting his sister Nellie Lane Mosher. Born 1850 in Abington, he worked in Rockland Brockton Warren Ohio and Worcester and later headed a shoe department at the Massachusetts Reformatory. He married Mary Van Ambage in 1874 and celebrated a golden anniversary in 1924. Burial is in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Concord.

Parent- Teachers Hear Program After Meeting
Concord Mrs George Shepard vice president of the West Concord Parent-Teacher Association led the March meeting at the Harvey Wheeler School in Dr Adams absence. A music program by current and former Harvey Wheeler pupils followed with four dainty ladies in gowns performing a party routine to music and songs. Concord-H. Babock Brown Named Pilot for Great Silver Fleet
Concord native Concord-H. Babock Brown, 26, has been employed as pilot for Eastern Air Lines Great Silver Fleet. Capt. E. V. Rickenpaxer announced the appointment. Brown traveled across the United States as a boy and attended 10 schools before college. He graduated from Brentwood College in British Columbia and studied at Harvard and the University of California. He began flying as a hobby and pursued it as a career, including stormbound and cross country flying and ferrying for several companies.
