Whiton plans to move to a Vermont farm near St. Johnsbury. pigs as gifts symbolize his agricultural shift.

Concord Division 66 of A O H hosts an Old Fashioned Dance at Monument Hall tonight chaired by James W. Powers with committee members Robert Woodlock Owen Michael Hackett James F Powers Patrick Smith and Patrick McPhillips. The Kate Etote Mountaineers perform.
Mrs. Leonard Benson of West Concord sustained a serious head injury in a Sunday night auto accident. Her husband, proprietor of the West Concord Economy Store, donated a blood transfusion Saturday afternoon, after which she rallied but later worsened. In the other car, driver Gardner was arrested for driving under the influence.
The King's Daughters met on Tuesday March 16 with over 25 members present at Mrs Sohier's house. Hostesses were Mrs Louis Sohier and Mrs Philip Davis. The group reported the March 3 card party a social and financial success, with funds to support social welfare activities. Plans for the April 6 annual meeting under Mrs Henry Smith are not yet finalized.
A 21 year old LeFrance ladder truck from the Concord Fire Department failed about a mile from town on Monument Street while heading to a chimney fire at John Windhorne's home. The truck coughed and died opposite Russell Rob's home but was later restarted. West Concord apparatus assisted, and the fire was extinguished without serious loss.
Concord-The Women’s Parish Association met March 15 in the Vestry. Mrs Rose R Whiton gave two silver c esticks to the Alliance. Allen French spoke on Two Gonaad Laymen about John Hoar and Samuel Hoar of First Parish. Hoar faced legal trouble but aided Christian Indians during King Philip’s War and later defended Massachusetts free Negroes in Charleston amid mobs and hostility.
