Nazareth Sperandio, formerly co owner of Marlboro Country Club and Framingham resident, becomes greenskeeper of Concord-Concord club on March 1. A Framingham graduate Sperandio joined golf scene early, helped buy Marlboro Country Club in 1941, later enlisted in the U S Navy. He and his wife welcomed their first son. Sperandio is a member of the England Greenskeeping club.

Woman's Club of Mexico hosts International Relations Day program

The Woman's Club of Mexico West Concord met Friday at Odd Fellows hall West Concord for a regular session and International Relations Day. Ensign Brooks Jr Awarded Air Medal for Valor in Pacific

Ensign Thomas Perkins Brooks Jr of Concord New Hampshire listed as missing has been awarded the Air Medal for meritorious aerial achievement against Japanese forces. The citation notes his pilotage of a carrier torpedo plane in attacks on the Volcano Islands and other targets in the Central Pacific theater.

Concord residents at the annual town meeting approved a total of 17 875 for snow removal next year, including 10 875 for a new wall dozer and 3 500 more than asked. The vote favored next year’s snow effort over a separate 1 000 for mosquito control as officials project a tax rate similar to last year despite higher appropriations.
