Turners Falls Auto Crash Kills Millar Senior Miss Locke Near Death
A moonlit trip from Turners Falls to Athol ended when Miss Edna Locke drove a car off a bridge into the Connecticut River canal. Principal C W Millar, Sr. drowned. Millar Jr. and Miss Locke survived after rescue and hospital care. Mrs. Millar died later. authorities and town residents mourn a widely respected family.
