Rockford Man to Head Lincoln Public Schools

The Lincoln school committee elected Frederick H. McKelvey of Rockford Tl as superintendent of Lincoln public schools. He replaces H Raul Sarr of Concord who resigned two months ago. McKelvey will assume duties July 15. Concord has named McLeary of Barrings as successor.

Discharged On Point System For Army Veteran

The veteran was discharged under the point system after earning 112 points across over three years of service. Much of his time was overseas on two fronts in the Southwest Pacific near Guadalcanal and in Europe from D-Day onward. The WéGraths also have another son, Robert E. Mc Grath, serving in the Army.

Concord reports Rev. Alfred Starratt rector of St. Anne's Church will teach at a summer camp in East Sebago Maine next month. During his absence Rev. Rollin Fairbanks chaplain of the Massachusetts General Hospital will be in charge of St. Anne's parish with services at 9 30 each Sunday morning.

Service for Nathan Davis in Concord

Funeral services for Nathan Davis of Concord, a native of Woburn born June 27, 1851, were largely attended last Saturday. Rev. John Elmo Wallace conducted the service and interment followed at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Davis, a longtime member of the Produce Exchange, operated the George E. Boland store on Mill Dam for 45 years before retirement and lived in Concord for about 65 years. Surviving are three sons and other mourners.

Concord Men Prepare for Camp OConnor Tour of Duty

Preparations proceed for a week long state guard exercise at Camp O Connor Framingham starting July 6. About 414 men from Fourth Company Concord M G 8 will train with a large unit, though fewer than other 23rd Infantry detachments.
