A historical note records Lemuel F Parton being jailed for the murder of Sheriff Bert in Bakersfield on a date in 1928. The Vera record also mentions the Duke of Windsor gifting cufflinks to Robert Anderson Jardine upon marrying, and a duchess sending another piece.
The ceremony for Miss Moncord and Max Bullivan was held with Rev. Wilfried H. Bunker presiding. Attendants included Charlotte Ten Buok from Alabama and Miss Bullivan of Arlington Heights as bridesmaids. Best man T. Donald McCreary and several ushers attended. The couple planned residence in Groton after September 15.

The wedding of Migs Raone and ONeU ONeil occurred at a Five O clock ceremony at the church in East Acton. Rev Bray officiated. Maid of honor was Misa Bilen Weed with two sisters as attendants. Best man Ja O'Neil acted with ushers Robert Brown Leonard Palmer and Francis O Mara. The couple plans a honeymoon and will reside in East Acton after.

Concord Emerson hospital records for May show 42 surgical cases and 19 obstetrical cases. Infants born numbered, with 63 delivered, and 390 accident cases including 15 auto and 9 other. In hospital patients totaled 81 with 22 existing in hospital at month end.

Concord William McPhee of Denver was elected captain of the Middlesex School baseball team for next spring. He has pitched, caught, and played in the outfield and at first base, succeeding James Persons of New Bedford. Worcester assistant manager William ht oz was named manager for next year, replacing Richard Best of New Bedford. The letter awards go to Captain Persons, Captain-elect McPhee, Malcolm Onwood of Hingham, Hunter McGuire of Washington DC, William Jeutter Passaic NJ, William Mitchell of Chicago, William Barron Weston, Donald Lambert Canton, Fritz Nagel Denver, John Stanton New Bedford, and Manager Best.
Concord residents form a conservation association led by Concord-Cobb Fay Lunt Smith and others to enlist local support for protecting wildlife and natural resources. The group aims to grow membership as a vital step in advancing conservation efforts across the Commonwealth amid a rising regional interest.
Last week in the Intertown League results show West Crete Post Office beat people reodworking Company Concord Wire Department 9 to 18 while Anderson's Market lost to Allen-Corporation 4 to 224. The Garnett Mill game against Foundry was postponed and a meeting discussed regulations and small contributions collected for baseballs. Fall term begins September 5.
Sunday golf at the Concord Country Club featured a GH tournament with a three quarter handicap. Scorers listed include Gerald Henderson four points Andrew Hepburn sixty one Bodfish fifty John M Jr forty nine Hubert Walwell Jr forty six Lee Todd Jr forty six H Johnson forty five Dr Fuldo forty two Dr Norman Spencer forty two William McGackin forty two Danforth Comins forty Ben Wilson thirty five Ralph Piper twenty two.
The prize for the contest ended with unclear results as judges Alan F and Oe Woed faced questions. Officials reported the award to Stata Taboer, while parties involved expressed mixed reactions about the process.
Funeral services were held for Gidney Coolidge a retired corporation official of Concord aged 76. Born in 1464 he pursued business roles across several firms including the Fore River Ship and Engine Co and Lowell Bleachery. He served as president of National Fabric and Finishing Co Boston and led Emerson Hospital as well as the Union Club. He was married to Mary J Doll of St Joseph Montana who died three years ago. He leaves a son and other relatives in Rhode Island and Providence Court.
Concord high school honors Katherine G Delaney daughter of Mrs Jesse T Delaney of Pine Street West Concord as winner of a post essay medal This judging panel included Mrs Leslie Moore and Ivan D Bervais commander of the James J Mansfield Post American Legion Delaney received the medal with her name announced for an essay addressed to young people who have just entered the United States.
The Concord High senior class presents a class song with words by Jeanne Janney and music by Julie Anne Foote. The song recalls guiding spirits of past struggle and calls the youth to march forward to meet the foe. The piece accompanies the senior class program during the conference at the New Ocean House in Owempecott.
Concord High School held its graduation exercises for the class of 1088 at the Armory on Friday June 9. A class of 40 graduates received diplomas along with one post graduate. ceremonies featured the march and speeches by Rev. Edward J. Da Theorc and Goodwin.
In a club event the foursome of Mr and Mrs William Paver Sham Jr won the section. Rodger and Ikon were part of the second group in the round.
