Manson Died at Home after Long Illness
Veteran of Spanish American War Thomas Manion died Friday at his home in Massachusetts Avenue after a brief pneumonia. Military funeral in Concord featured Ralph P. Hosmer Camp Veterans, massed color guards, a National Guard firing squad, and taps. Burial at St Bernard Cemetery. Survived by three sons Frances Charles and Thomas Jr and two daughters Elizabeth and Florence. Over 100 Trinity Sunday school children attended a picnic at Punkatasset Farm on Saturday.

Concord couple marks 62nd wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Henry F Smith of Concord observed their 62nd wedding anniversary at their home 61 Main Street with a family tea party and congratulations from many across wire and mail. The couple married June 7, 1865 in Boston. Mr Smith, born 1833 in Gloucester, long led local mills and served as Concord’s selectman and early librarian board member. They have 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. seven sons live nearby in Concord or California.

W A Stevens Laid to Rest in Concord
William A Stevens a well known local business man died in Concord Wednesday June eighth after a short illness. The funeral was held this afternoon at his home 2 Mentor Street. The service was conducted by Rev Gail Cleland pastor of the Trinitarian Congregational Church Concord. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery Everett. He was born in East Boston August 25 the son of Amos A and Han Stevens. He moved to Concord fifteen years ago and ran a store on Walden Street as an electrical contractor and sporting goods dealer. He was a charter member of the Odd Fellows lodge. He is survived by his wife Lucy D Stevens a daughter Mrs Eliot R Howard and two sisters Mrs Mary J Tut tle of Somerville and Mrs Theodore G Boutelle of Woburn.

Concord High Track Meet Records Fall At Emerson Playground
Concord High School held its annual interclass meet on Tuesday at Emerson Playground. The seniors dominated with a total of 66 113 points, ahead of the Sophomores 28 23, Freshmen 19, and Juniors 17. Six event records were broken including mile, high jump, shot put, quarter mile, pole vault, and others. Dalton led as high scorer with multiple firsts.
