Fatal car crash near Concord line claims life
A fatal automobile collision occurred near the Concord line on Summer Street Man chest Conn. Harold died before doctors arrived after being thrown clear of his car. Mrs Albert A Schall and Mrs Eliot Ry Hedge assisted with first aid. Dr O Lawrence Clark was called and the case was investigated by Chief Kelleher with a probable conclusion.

Town council to decide on parade plans at St Marys hall
The council will meet at St Marys hall North Boston next Friday night to discuss parade plans for Flag Day. A drill session for those who will represent the council is set for Thursday. Participants are asked to report to Monument hall at 8 o clock.

Veterans Hold Meeting at Bedford YD Club
Concord Minute-Man chapter of the D Veterans' association met Tuesday night at 8 o'clock in the new YD Club in Bedford. A large attendance from the present war, including YD men, attended. Commander Clifford W. Day presided as films followed. The special open meeting has been postponed.

Graduation Exercises Held At Eliot School
Graduation exercises at Eliot School featured a hymn Middlesex, remarks by acting chairman of trustees, and the valedictory by John. Alumni guests and friends attended as prizes for athletics and scholarship were awarded. Concord Cavalcade for War Bond Drive Draws Crowds
A Concord Cavalcade promoting war bonds appeared Wednesday morning in Monument Square in cooperation with Massachusetts savings banks. Police blocked Lexington Road as Maj. Alex Smith led the parade to Chelmsford with witnesses from the European front explaining fighting gear. Exhibits included a captured German tank, a 50 mm field gun, aPT engine cutaway, jet bomb, naval shells and other military pieces. Schools closed to let children view the event.

Local Sailor Killed in Okinawa Area
Navy man Prendergast, 31, a charter member of the USS Drexler crew, died in action near Okinawa after serving 12 years in peacetime and re enlisting three years ago. Born in Charlestown he lived with Mrs. Hogan in West Concord from age six until enlisting at 18. He had been on furlough in November and visited Mrs Hogan before the fatal assignment aboard the destroyer Drexler, which was struck during combat off Okinawa.

Died at Home of Her Sister Miss Minihar
Miss Minihar, native of Ireland, died at home of her sister on Fielding street in Concord. Rev. Mark P. Sullivan officiated mass and burial followed at St Bernard's cemetery. She came to Concord five years ago and leaves Mrs. Varley, another Mrs. Albert Cameron of Boston, and two brothers Jeremiah Minihan of Beverly and John with the British merchant marine in England, plus nieces and nephews.
