Miss Frances Ivona Sayers daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Sayers of 58 Staples street and Wr M John Colombo of Hudson son of Mrs Mary Colombo Main street Maynard were married at St Margaret's church in a double ring ceremony. The bridal party included maid of honor Grace E Sayers and best man William L Brumby. The groom’s party featured Dr X A Vargeropulos and several doctors. The bride wore a duchess satin gown with lace and gardenia tiara.
A report on the Concord High School Class of 1905s thirtieth anniversary reunion. Members and spouses gathered at the high school and Colonial Inn for tours, banquets, toasts, and reminiscences with former teachers and 22 living members present.
John DD Provasott principal of Woodrow Wilson School led a class of 34 sixth graders on an inspection tour of Wayside Inn. Hostess Doris Kerrigan guided the group and delivered an engaging talk. Barbara Brown of Redstone School spoke briefly about her school. Alton White provided transportation.
Last tribute and sympathy extended to the bereaved family. Miss Keegan belonged to the Immaculate Conception Society of St Bridget church and to the White Cross Guild and Maynard Lodge of Foresters. Funeral held Saturday morning with a nine o'clock Requiem Mass conducted by Rev John J McCarthy. Bearers included Wilfur Howard Ralph Clark Francis John Keegan and Delmar Kilkenney. Burial was in the family lot in St.
Large congregations attended the Methodist church Children s Day program with Rev. Bar on Marshall delivering brief Bible remarks. Graduates received Bible and diplomas, certificates for perfect attendance, and several children were baptized. The program was led by Miss Emma Gren hade and Eric Farnell, with extensive student recitations and songs.
Sudbury High School will hold graduation exercises Monday evening June 17 in the Town hall. The 1935 graduating class includes Hilda Baldwin James Lowell Bartlett Frances Bennet Chester Carson Ruth Gothberg Matthew Dickey Marion Greene William Dickey Ruth Heminway Jon Mercury Anne Hutchins Amanso Troisi Esther Miller Eawin Wooster Eva Myers with Ruth Heminway receiving the Balfour Key Award and Bartlet as Scholastic Honor Roll senior.

Acton community and relatives gathered Thursday to honor Ella J Miller. The Acton Congregational church held simple, impressive services led by Rev. Glenn W. Douglass. Pupils from Miss Miller’s class attended, and bearers from Acton carried the casket to burial in the family cemetery lot. Sympathy extended to Samuel B. Miller of Melrose and sisters Mrs. Alice E. Coolidge and Mrs. Loraine Frye of Hudson.
James A. Coughlan of Brooke Street succeeds Donald Lent as ERA administrator in Maynard. Local officials praise Lent’s administration and highlight Coughlan’s long service to the town, his role with the Maynard Citizens committee, and his ownership of the Theatre. The ERA projects, including Glenwood cemetery development and Alumni field improvements, are noted as potential major achievements.
Massachusetts may finance the eight mile reconstruction of the Boston Post road through Sudbury and Wayland using federal work relief funds. The state received 7.47 million dollars for roads and railroad crossings with support from Governor Curley and public works officials.
Maynard A meeting of the Woolen and Worsted Department of the United Textile Workers drew 310 delegates from New England and beyond. Horace Riviere urged opposition to a third shift and supported wage increases, NRA repeal, and the Wagner Connery bill with a call for Congress to act. The group authorized a strike vote if needed and planned future action in Lowell.
The Maynard Ladies Golf Club hosted a bridge and auction whist social at the Maynard Country Club yesterday afternoon. Favors were awarded to Mrs Norma Gruber Mrs Grace Merrick Miss Dorothy Roche Mrs Lessie Mc Garry Mrs Maude Gutteridge Mrs Charlotte Stockbridge and Marion Reed. The event was led by Mrs Gertrude May Mrs Clara Grieve and Mrs Arthur Mullin. Maynard High School class of 1934 plans a sail to Provincetown next Sunday with Bennie Sofka and Victor Pozarycki organizing the effort.
