In Association Hall As sociation hall Concord Lodge 1479 BPOE will feature the moving picture A Boy of Flanders on Wednesday evening for the lodge benefit. Miss Cecelia Williams visited Springfield and Wallingford Conn for Memorial Day and the weekend. Adam Kay bought a Jewett sedan. An alarm from Box 32 sent the fire department to 427 Main street to a roof fire at the Sullivan home occupied by Mr Davis.

Village Improvement Society Plans Outdoor Fourth Eve Event
A large village gathering discussed an outdoor entertainment to be held on school grounds the night before the Fourth. A band concert outdoor moving pictures and a refreshments sale are planned with Kennan Damon as general committee chair. Additional committees will be named before the next meeting in late June.
Children’s Day Observed at Concord Trinitarian Church
The Trinitarian Church observed Children’s Day with a morning service directed by Mrs. Charles H. Towle. About fifty children participated in primary department exercises with music from both primary and intermediate groups. A choir of young women led by Miss Olive Flagg sang. Five children were baptized by Rev. Gail Cleland: Sarah Philinda Foss and Dexter Foss, Julia Rae Leslie, Cynthia Louise Price, and Julia Marian Cleland. Bibles were presented to baptized children who have reached seven, including Ester Stensby and William Leslie Smith. Rev. Cleland preached a special sermon and about 100 flowering plants were given to children in the intermediate and primary departments.

First Parish Church Holds Children Themed Morning Service
Rev. Loren B. Macdonald led a children centered service at First Parish Church with a Sunday School involvement under B Farnham Smith. Flowers from the Sunday School were sent to Boston Children's Hospital and about thirteen percent of flowering plants were distributed to children.

The annual Maynard arts and crafts exhibit at Co operative Hall showcased the thorough, high quality work of grades from sand tables and sewing to advanced drawing, bookbinding, and clay modeling. Miss Etta Graves praised pupils and teachers for interest and cooperation while Mrs. Mary Coughlin’s students and Junior High and High school pupils received thanks for help. The Odd Fellows and Ninona lodge Rebekahs plan Memorial Day services in Waltham on June 22 at 7 30 pm with Grand Master Potter delivering the address.
