Concord Man Prescott Keyes Named Justice of District 11

Prescott Keyes of Concord wins appointment as Justice of the District Court in Central Massachusetts succeeding late John S. Keyes. The selection drew petitions in support from police, lawyers, and many district residents amid prior opposition.

George W Green lost a pocketbook with 30 near Parmenter mill. Howard C Burr sold greenhouses to Fred N Eaton who will move them and rebuild. Frosts damaged early crops and foliage. Mr and Mrs George Moore visit Kennebunk Me. Arthur Taylor and family occupy their house during absence. Preparations for Marlboro celebration include town representation with floats and a military cane. Albert W Stone appointed caretaker of the way. gravel laid to improve road bed for heavy auto traffic. Fourteen poplar trees planted by George J Raymond along Way were cut or damaged by unknown perpetrators. suspected out of town party activity noted. A noisy crowd was seen about 10:30 p m the night of the act.
