Concord Junction Fire Brigade Delayed by Horse Shortage
A Wednesday morning house fire on Crest Street exposed the town’s fire service as hampered by lack of horsepower. Although volunteers arrived quickly at the engine house, no horses could be found, causing a 15 minute delay and prompting calls to neighboring Concord for aid.
