The Christian Endeavor Union held a lawn party Thursday evening with Japanese lanterns and strings of lights. Maynard Brass band supplied music and eight towns including Ayer Littleton Centre West Acton South Acton Concord and others attended with various treats and displays. The dance Friday night drew fewer guests, possibly due to heat.
Patchy local notes report a circus planned for the town on the 28th with crowds gathering to view the latest touring acts. Miss Ruth Raymond is at the J W Coal Co office during her father’s absence while Edna Denniston from Central enjoys a week’s vacation.
