A fragmented bakery note extols bread made from flour and pure ingredients, claiming it as the rotort of life. It also advertises delicious rolls buns pies and pastry baked fresh each day and offers wedding and event cakes on short notice with prompt delivery.
Maynard residents see shops closed on Wednesday while others visit friends or work. Several local figures are mentioned including William Stuart Maynard and H Alberts of Boston. The I H A C basketball team plans a date with Saxonville. The Human Face sermon may be repeated. A water main break disrupts service and local schools close for two days.
John Morgan 70 a Maynard resident died suddenly at work in the Assabet mills Monday morning. Once healthy he fell ill and died within a half hour. An Irish native who lived in Scotland before moving to the United States in 1863 he had worked at the mills for about two decades. He is survived by his wife and five children from two marriages and will be interred at St Bridget’s cemetery after morning tea.
