At the annual town meeting Monday night Concord Neanby Carlisle approved Sunday sports by a standing vote 74 to 25 after a three hour session reviewing 35 articles. About $52,000 was appropriated, with schools receiving nearly half. Wages for town workers rose to 85 cents an hour, and the highway superintendent to $1.15. An article for better police protection failed at $2,000. snow removal asked $4,500, up $2,500, and the highway department received about $7,000 plus $3,000 for new equipment.

Fire at West Concord Depot causes $2000 damage
Patrolman John E Mullen found a blaze at the West Concord Railroad Depot Tuesday at 4 45 am.
