South Acton reports Mr and Mrs H A Gray visiting daughter Mrs Donald Cen te in Westminster. Boy Scouts clean snow in Quimby square. Universalist church plans a turkey dinner February 22 at one oclock. Grammar school girls form The Lunch box Club meeting every other Wednesday. Eleanor Morse presides with Eleanor Jones as vice president and Helen Tacker as secretary.
The Congregational Church schedules a Christian Endeavor meeting Friday night at 7 30. Sunday morning worship at 10 30 followed by Sunday school at W435. Sunday evening service at Tin.
Concord High School presented Louis N. Parker's light comedy Summer Is A’ Comin In at Veterans' Hall with Friday and Saturday performances drawing full houses and turning away patrons. The play features a witty plot of love triangles and disguises set in 1918 Devon, England with a youthfully lively cast delivering constant stage charm.
The annual town election saw Democrats and Republicans sharing wins. Chief of Police Frank Binks was reelected to the Board of Selectmen, marking his eleventh straight victory. David G. Sharpe was reelected as a selectman with the largest votes, and other officials including Edwin Carlton and Gavin Taylor won their races.
George and John Michaylo of 103 Sterling Street pleaded guilty to stubborn behavior and had their cases continued to the Juvenile session after the father refused responsibility for appearance. They were placed with the probation officer Charles Mayberry on promise to return, with prior flight from home and recent return from Passaic New Jersey amid threats.
Prize essay written by W. Arms West wins a Lincoln life study contest at Maynard High School. Senior class 36 contestants entered the competition supervised by Miss Katherine Griffin during the February 12 assembly period.

Auctioneer John A Finnigan offers 22 cows and one horse from M Bachinsky Fresh Farm South Road Bedford Mass on Monday February 18 1924 at ten oclock A M Cash terms. Many cows are Holstein and Guernsey with eight fresh and twelve due in March and April. several cows yield over 20 quarts daily. The black horse weighs 1800 lbs and is described as an extra good horse. Sale proceeds regardless of weather.
Carmello Spiro was sentenced to state prison for the murder of Rosari Buscemi on the night of August 2 at a farmers’ home on Main Street. He claimed self defense saying Buscemi forced entry. two accomplices reportedly fled town. Police handed the case to state authorities for prosecution after Spiro surrendered to Maynard police.
Dr Charles W Hutchinson inoculated 19 Concord Academy pupils with diphtheria toxin antitoxin serum later found frozen in transit. The serum aims to produce immunity and has infected many New York children. over 500 Concord students were treated this year.
