Christmas Day was observed with exercises at local schools and visits from friends and relatives. Notices include Dr. F A Taylor moving to the village, Wadsworth and Sandham schools closing for holiday, and local residents hosting gatherings and travels over the season.
Local residents spent the Christmas holiday with relatives in Methuen Brockton Malden Springfield Vermont and Connecticut while social events included a turkey delivery at the alleys a high single string score and a selectmen meeting drawing two jurors for Cambridge Superior Court St Bridget's Temperance society plans a pledge renewal after the 8:30 mass with expected membership growth for the new year.
In Littleton the Woman's club plans a Guest evening on Monday with Wallace Flagg returning from Pennsylvania. Local families host visiting relatives, while Hon. Geo. W. Sanderson hosts a party including a Savings Bank Insurance address by Harry Kimball of Boston. A Baptist society supper netted about $100 and seniors toured the Shubert Theatre to see The Merchant of Venice. A stolen horse report ends with the owner reclaiming the trotter. a lost pocketbook is recovered by a father's grateful daughters who found it in a barn cellar.
