Statement by Assabet Mills agent on Maynard strike
The Maynard statement says the Assabet Mills strike was not driven by Reds or undesirables but to pressure lapsed United Textile Workers members to pay dues and seek reinstatement. It notes no evidence of un-American activity and states former union members who work properly will not be discharged, while refusing to purge or compel dues.
