Red Cross surgical dressings room at Old Concord High School on Stow Street to operate next Wednesday 7 30 to 10 pm with volunteer demand rising. December quotas must be finished by December 31. Concord salvage committee plans another tin can collection. First Class Joseph Nelanley 39 Belknap Street, Bee High School athlete now with the U S Coast Guard stationed Morichies Long Island NY.

Raymond A Leija, airman and radio gunner with the Eighth Air Force, known as Luftwaffe Lullaby, completed five bombing missions over Germany and occupied Europe before a bicycle accident temporarily grounded him. He was a landscape gardener at Sudbury Nurseries and lived at 4 Harrison Street.
