Miss Alice Eugenia Cornell and George R. Shepard wed at The Manse on Saturday evening attended by close family. Rev G A Tewksbury performed the ceremony and a reception followed. They plan to live with the bride’s parents in Concord Union Street while settling their future home.

Officers Named for Ralph P. Hosmer Camp 1916

The Ralph Bedcamp Spanish War Veterans elect officers for 1916 at Thursday night’s meeting. Thomas Toda Jr. is Commander, John C. Anderson Senior Vice Commander, George P. Hagerty Junior Vice Commander, Philip A. Davis Officer of the Day, William B. Blodgett Officer of the Guard, with George W. Hagerty as trustee and Camp Commander. Meetings set for the second Thursday at the state armory, installation of officers planned next meeting with departmental officers expected to attend.

Car Collision On Street Railway Ends With Damaged Cart

A C M and H street car slighted an accident with Arthur Jones tip cart near the bridge below Wood Street. The late running car collided with the cart causing rear damage to the cart and the car vestibule. No injuries reported. Motorman Flanagan sounded whistle but did not slow. The car was hauled to the car barn by the 2 o'clock car.

D A R With Regent Old Concord Chapter Hosts Gathering

Old Concord chapter of the D A R entertained at the regent Mrs George R Blinn home in Bedford. A death memorial for Miss Jeanie Barrett was observed, resolutions of sympathy adopted, and $200 from the fair funds allocated to debt relief. Music featured Mildred Snyder and Harriet Wescott Gruber. Nellie Rice Fisk spoke on Old Sudbury and Wayside Inn. A social hour followed with refreshments.

Civic Club Christmas Tree Committee Names Members

The Civ ic club Christmas tree committee lists Captain Fred F. Cook as chair man Sherman G. Rich as treas ur Ralph L. Loomis as president and former president Charles W. Dunton along with Joseph Williams Randall A. Whittier M Bernard Webber and Louis I Pfeiffer. The program mirrors last year except no children parade. Buglers will visit homes to play carols Santa Claus will attend the tree on the common to distribute candy and gifts. The tree will be lit with hundreds of colored lights donations requested to treasurer Rich or any committee member.

Edward Chapman elected national lecturer at Grange gathering

The Ludlow resident and master of the State Grange, Edward Chapman, was chosen national lecturer during the 49th annual Grange session in Oakland California held November 10 to 19. A dispute over next year’s meeting site delayed final selection, with Washington DC as the chosen destination.

Christmas Sale at Trinitarian Parish Netted Over $100

The annual Christmas sale of the Ladies of the Trinitarian parish filled church coffers with more than 100 dollars. Held Saturday, every table attracted buyers with varied gifts, aprons, plants, and fancy articles. Food offerings and homemade sweets were popular, ice cream and cake sold well, and a gypsy fortune booth drew many visitors.
