The K of C Concord Council 287 marks its 40th with a banquet on Monday night December 6 at 8 pm in the Veterans Building. Attorney General Paul A Dever will be guest speaker. other invited guests include George H Finnick and Rev. Mulcahy among several dignitaries.
Clara Noll nineteen year old editor dies in a collision when a truck veers and glass shatters. Investigating officers say both drivers may face charges of driving while intoxicated and manslaughter. The Nolls were prominent West Acton residents with Mr Noll running a local drug store.
Mr and Mrs Allister ee of Carlisle announce the engagement of their daughter Miss aeannes MacDougall to Dana T Norris of Mississippi MacDougall is a Northfield Seminary graduate and currently studies. Mark Hebert Iris of Lexington is noted in banking circles in a western state.
A public hearing by the State Department of Public Works at 100 Nashua Street Boston considers ten residents requests to establish a public right of way to White Pond Beach. The beach is currently open to White Pond Associates members and Concord residents on Saturdays and Sundays.

Walter Lloyd rescued eight year old Billy Fitzpatrick from a dangerous quicksand edge near the Merrimoon river at Shir Street. Street witnesses say the act was brave though Mrs. Lloyd downplayed boasting.
