West Concord officer and Mrs James Alexander of 268 Commonwealth Avenue celebrated their wedding anniversary last Monday. The couple is active in local Legion activities. Miss Elizabeth G Connell of 15 Old Bridge Road left last week for a two week vacation to Hyannis on the Cape.
Record rainfall deluged Concord on Tuesday afternoon flooding Main Street sections and submerging curbstones. The Mill Dam suffered major damage with cells flooded and stores at risk. Lightning was minimal and no injuries or further damage reported.
Dana B. Durand Jr. of Troop 27 Lincoln Boy Scouts attended the World Jamboree at Moisson France on the Seine River near Paris. He is among a few Massachusetts Scouts at the event where about 30 000 Scouts from around the world gathered. His parents reside on Page Road Lincoln and were in Berlin Germany on government work.
