Gustave Larson Larsen, 73, died at his home in Maynard after a long service life. He had worked as a maid for about 45 years and is survived by his son Ernest Larson. Funeral was held Saturday at the late home with Rev. Caefitt officiating. Burial followed in the family lot at the old cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Acton Lucie H. Snyder Phalen wife of Professor Ralph Phalen of St vondale were held Monday. The Rev Glenn Hays Normal School officiated. She studied at the State Library and Emporia Kansas, earned an AB at the University of Kansas in 1909 and an MA in History two years later.
