Marlboro Savings Bank official disputes loss claim
Charles F. Holyoke, cashier and treasurer, said reports of a $7000 loss from Burnett Cummings & Co. are misleading. The bank had collateralized the note, already charged the matter off, and the bank’s condition would not suffer from the disclosure. Arthur Desrochers received a gold watch and chain at St Jean Baptiste hall as friends praised him, with Hector Moineau giving the presentation speech and the Fife and Prom corps performing into the night.
