Tufts student Carl Marsh hosted by John Gibbons. and Beatrice Fletcher of Bowminster Easter guest of Ina May Bell. The Assabet Woolen Co. secured a 250000 blanket order from the U S government. Funeral? No. Oprah? No. John Gibbons appointed to census duties.
Miss Josephine Conway visited Fitchburg while Jarvis Derby enjoys a Durham college vacation. Mrs. Abram Hoffecker hosts a Charitable Society meeting. Royden Bass has been ill at his Hubbard Street home. Concord high school cadets were organized last week by Supt. Wells A. Hall. Miss Emma Trail of Dorchester, formerly of Concord, visited friends. James Mara left for a business trip to Lafayette Indiana. Ruth Hildridge of Hopkinton engaged to John P. Hunt of Concord. Sherman Hoar welcomed a son weighing seven pounds. The K company of Clinton camping on the old cattle show grounds added stoves to tents. Rev. D. N. Beach spoke at the Good Friday meeting in Trinitarian church. Stedman Buttrick presented the 6th Best with a Fiat automobile for duty use. Oscar Olgen visited from Newport Navy Yards where he is stationed. L. P. George and family moved to the former Ivermonn Lowell Road home. Miss Helen Towler enjoying a spring vacation from Mt. Holyoke at Hubbard Street home. Six fires in ten hours set Concord’s fire record on Thursday. A Concord auxiliary meeting of the Trinitarian church Women’s Board of Missions featured Mrs. George E. White of Marsovan, Turkey.

Engineer H. A. Comeau moved the Chaplin stable from its longtime spot to a new site on Commonwealth Avenue. The operation required easing it down a steep incline, crossing railroad tracks, and cutting numerous wires, yet Comeau completed the task successfully.

Sergt. Charles H. Richardson of the 8th Ohio Infantry Akron Ohio medical department has just returned from the Mexican border after several months away. He has spent the past two weeks at home visiting his father S. L. Richardson and family.
Deacon William H. Clark of Stow died suddenly in Boston on Thursday. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Union Church. Friends here learned of his passing with regret.
The town reports Edward Manning buying an Indian motorcycle and Miss Agnes Daly visiting Bedford friends. George Peterson offers his motorcycle to Co. I of Concord. Harold Riese enlists in Co. 1 likely to guard duty. Centre town residents display the flag. A Colonial Theatre outing sees Joan the Woman. Gerald Monroe and William Brian join Concord High School cadets. Preparedness is urged with local motto in farming areas. Lexington High cadets, and Philip Wall participates in a three day observance for April 19. Brian comments on Boston papers as a promising pitcher for Concord.

A sub committee proposes free garden plots near town center for residents. Each plot would be up to four acres and available if enough people request land for gardening.
