J B McLellan foreman of Pitman Co denies at town meeting claims that carpenters were promised liquor and that workers clocked extra hours on the pest house project. He states no liquor was used to spur work and the extra time on the final day was to finish the job for quarantine use, with only a voluntarily purchased whiskey by David Henderson at night.

Advertisers Warned Of New Rates At The Enterprise
The Enterprise will raise advertising rates effective May 1. One inch first insertion 50 cents and 12 1 2 cents for subsequent insertions. Rates apply up to five inches. over five inches 25 cents first, 10 cents each subsequent. Yearly or half yearly contracts exempt from first insertion increase. Ads due by Tuesday night to fit same week issue. Delivery and submission details noted.

Lyceum meeting postponed to April twenty second Concord
In Concord the Lyceum session is moved to April 22. Local officials John M. Keyes chairs the road commission with William Wheeler heading the water and sewer board and Walter Hubbard as secretary. Dan Berry has sold his farm and the milk route passes to Richard Williams, the new owner.
