Concord unit of the Motor Corps honored Capt. Dorothy Macone at a surprise dinner March 25 at Old Mill Dam. The event marked the first anniversary of Concord Motor Transport’s first graduation class led by Capt. Marjorie Stickney. Mrs. Harrison Coday former Marion Derby daughter of the late Benjamin Derby has been named director of recreation for West Harrison New York succeeding Thomas Pietrani who resigned to join the Navy. Coday a Concord High School graduate 1921 has served as production chairman for the Purchase Chapter three years and instructor of first aid passing 375 persons in 1941 42. She is librarian of the Purchase Free Library and will oversee sports handicraft music and motion pictures in Silver Lake Rye Lake and Purchase areas. Coday previously worked with Lend Lease administrator Harry Hopkins and Dr lego Glanstone. She has held roles in public schools North Castle New Rochelle and New Jersey Girl Scout camps and directed Purchase Community House for 10 years and served as health education secretary of the Bronx Tuberculosis Association.
