Concord High Opens Third Annual Science Fair
Concord high school hosts the third annual science fair in the school auditorium April 6 and 7 from 7 30 to 9 30 p m. Lions Club sponsors the event with Vice-Principal Carl MacPherson as general chairman and committees led by Loring Shirer Kingsbury Early Creighton Heyliger O'Brien. Over 100 students exhibit in biology chemistry general science mathematics and mechanics and will be judged today with ribbons and $15 $10 and $5 cash prizes awarded to top exhibits.

Sergeant Foster of the Concord Police Department is promoted to sergeant at a Monday board meeting effective immediately. Foster, a Marine Corps veteran of World Wars I and II, longtime Concord officer since 1930, lives on Potter Street with his wife and two children.
