Landlord Lemon of the Inn plans new cottage work on his land and invites city visitors.
The sale occurs in the afternoon and on April 9 with doors opening at 3 o clock. Tables will hold useful and fancy articles for sale and a hot beef steak pie supper with salads is served from 6 30 to 8 30. The event aims to honor the hardworking ladies and match past success.
At the Sudbury Grange meeting a program featured piano solo by Mary Mackey a Grange story by Angie Bent a piano solo by Alice Stone and an original poem by Maude Clark a vocal by Mary Mackey and a discussion. An April fool social brought much merriment and a successful evening. Mrs Clark’s poem depicts Sudbury folk enjoying haying feasts and Grange gatherings with local references and light satire.
