Monument to Hon. Walter P Brownlow Erected in Tennessee
A shaft over thirty two feet high is being built at the National Soldiers Home cemetery in Johnson City to honor Walter Preston Brownlow. Funded by Mrs. Kyle M. King the $2000 Winsboro blue granite monument will stand beside his parents graves amid the Silent Circle. Unveiling and dedicatory exercises are planned for early October.
