Copper Vein Discovered in Johnson County Mine
A nine foot copper vein was found in Johnson County with ore assayed at 88 percent copper. Copper expert Chas Somere from Salt Lake City evaluated the property and noted the ore could fetch about 10 400 dollars monthly under a Chattanooga Times report. The mine’s discovery emerged after a local man learned of it from an Oregon promoter, with further claims of large ore yields and ongoing promotion efforts.
