Col Yocum born August 2 184? in Pennsylvania served four years in the Union army rising to colonel. He practiced law in Ashland and Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, was elected to Congress in 1879, later moved to Tennessee and finally California seeking better health. He died at the Arcadia hotel Santa Monica after moving here in 1889 to regain his health. He leaves a wife and six children. Funeral services set for the residence with Masonic rites at the cemetery.
