Kinney Slugged Green In Brownsville Dispute
In Brownsville Tennessee on March 14 Speaker Kinney knocked down veteran editor John R. Green after a heated exchange over editorials in the States Graphic. Green, owner of the paper, was assaulted on the street and left badly bruised. Kinney and witnesses say no arrest has been made though further action may follow. Green claims the editorials were untrue, and Kinney defends his actions as justified.
