State officers warn filers to register on time and highlight civic duty amid war, urging unity and sacrifice.

Allied forces advancing along a six mile front from Vinly to Bourgesches and Veuilly Le Poterie have captured Veuilly Le Poterie and Bourgesches as German resistance collapses. Marines and French troops push forward despite heavy German fire, with Torey earlier taken and Houresches street fighting yielding heavy enemy losses.
A transport raced up the Atlantic coast, dodging German U boats and zigzagging at night under steam. On shore leave crewmen said wireless warnings kept them near the coast and to speed toward the port. Two U boats were sighted but not identified, and three American destroyers later appeared, ending the chase.
Washington June 7 forecast a total wheat production of 923,000,000 bushels for spring wheat, second largest in U S history. The June 1 condition stood at 95.2 percent of normal, with 22,489,000 acres planted and a potential yield near a billion bushels to aid Allied armies and civilians.
