Minister to Mexico Nominated to Succeed Gray
Wasuixaron Feb 28 Senator Matt Ransom of North Carolina named minister to Mexico to replace the late Hon. Inane P. Gray. The nomination, received at 1:25, was praised. Ransom, 69, long Senate veteran and ex war officer, will not qualify until March 4 and then proceed to Mexico when asked.

The House Committee on Pensions favored reporting Herman's bill amending the 1892 act to include survivors of several earlier conflicts. W T Robertson editor of The Review died at his Rogersville home on Saturday and was buried with Masonic honors Sunday.
