Mrs T K Cramley died Friday evening at her home in the Tenth district from carbolic acid poisoning. She was the wife of I K Cramley, a leading farmer in the district, and the daughter of Uncle Marshall Johnson, a Confederate veteran. The community was greatly distressed by the death of a good woman.
Elks Home on Johnson City Lodge No 825 B P O E dedicated last Tuesday with many members in attendance. Officers performed superbly and a formal lunch followed the ceremony. Gifts to the home were notable and the event was one of the season’s finest. Friday hosted John Sevier Lodge No 696 K P from Bristol Greeneville Morton Jonesboro for a district meeting. Afternoon tours of the city and a lodge degree conferring session closed with welcome by Col H DeArmond and a response by Knight J Phillips of Greeneville. Refreshments were served and enjoyed.
