Comanche 4-H Swine Day Honors Local Winners
Visiting County Agent Parker presided as 4-H members judged gifts at Bill Parker’s farm near Comanche on September 19. Bruce Parker’s 202-pound gilt and Max Parker’s 264-pound boar earned top honors to represent Comanche County at the Sears Show in Abilene. Gail Conway won the pre judging contest and received a 4-H T shirt from Ernesto Arias.

Braves Fall 32-6 at Goldthwaite in Tough Road Game
Comanche Indian Braves were overwhelmed by Goldthwaite 32 to 6. Halfback Gary Warlick scored 28 points for the visitors while Gary Paul Johnson and quarterback Bill Flannery provided tough play. The team will travel to Early on Thursday September 24 to face the Early B Team.

Final Rites Held For Dock Dewbre
Funeral services for Dock Dewbre 60 of Tahoka were held at Sweet Street Baptist Church Tahoka. Interment followed in Fast Lawn Memorial Gardens Brownwood with Oak Lawn Funeral Home Comanche directing. Survivors include wife Thelma three daughters two sons and several siblings.
