Comanche Chief Hosts Fifty Year Citizens Birthday Celebration
The Comanche Chief and local business leaders hosted a September 7 birthday event drawing 4000 to 5000 visitors on the public square. More than 100 residents marked 50 years in Comanche County and many others noted long tenures. A guest registry and badges for Fifty Year Citizens and Old Timers were arranged with lemonade and wafers. Miss Jeffie Jeffries oversaw hospitality and a list of honorees was published.
