Texas drivers face higher title fees after a legislative act. Effective August 29 the motor vehicle Certificate of Title or reissuance costs 3.00 dollars with 1.50 going to the State Highway Fund and 1.50 to the Officers' Salary Fund. Duplicates for lost receipts cost 1.00 and are kept by the issuing office.
