ACP Assistance Available For Cover Crops
The ASCS office will start accepting ACP-245 requests for winter cover crops on September 5. Cost shares apply to rye planted on land allocated to peanuts in 1967, up to 75 percent of that year’s final peanut allotment, with additional shares for seeding vetch and winter peas. Funds are limited, so producers must file at the ASCS office before starting any ACP practice to qualify for federal cost sharing.
