Two Auto Crashes in Quick Succession On Main Street
Last Friday afternoon a double auto incident occurred within minutes. Donald Houghton, with his father beside him, lost control on a steep grade at West Main and Paine, reversing into a tree and damaging the vehicle, while Mrs. Houghton escaped injury. Moments later J L Bishop of Downing, driving a Birch, rammed the sidewalk in front of Bob Roy's restaurant after misfiring the gas and intending to stop, bending springs and fenders but avoiding serious injuries.
